Suspect sought in connection to theft at Lewes store

LEWES, Del. - Troopers are searching for a suspect, after they say he was involved in stealing a person's wallet at a liquor store, in Lewes.

Delaware State Police say on Monday, just before 4:30 PM, a 40-year-old woman dropped her wallet in the parking lot of the Roadsters Liquor Store, on Savannah Road. Troopers say the woman returned to the store after realizing her wallet was missing, and she spoke with the store manager. The manager then reviewed the surveillance tapes.

According to the report, the tapes show the victim dropping her wallet and the suspect in the picture picking it up approximately three minutes later. Authorities say the suspect exits the parking lot driving a 4-door maroon colored Acura.

Law enforcement describes the suspect as a man wearing an eagles football shirt, black pants with a red stripe, glasses and a white ear piece
