DOVER, Del. - Police say that they are investigating the armed robbery of a man that happened in the parking lot of a South Dover area shopping plaza on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Delaware State Police, at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, a male victim was about to take his laundry from his car while parked in front of the North Gate Laundromat on South Bay Road. It was at this time when police say the victim was approached by two men.
One of the suspects reportedly held his hand at the top of his pants implying that he had a gun and demanded the victim's property.
Police say the two suspects then went into the victim's car and took his cell phone, some keys and an electronic device before running back to a passenger car parked on South Bay Road near Lafferty Lane where another suspect was waiting in the driver's seat. The suspects then reportedly drove off. The victim was not injured.
The first suspect is described as being 25-30 years-old, 5'08"- 5'10" tall and 140-145 lbs. He was reportedly last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants. Police say that he may have been armed with an unknown type of handgun.
The second suspect was described as being 20-25 years old, 5'07"-5'08" tall and 135-140 lbs. He was allegedly last seen wearing a red tank top. It's also unclear if he was armed.
The third suspect was described as being 30-35 years of age, 6'00"-6'01" tall and 230-240 lbs. He was reportedly last seen wearing an orange shirt. Police say that he was last seen driving a newer model Mercury or Lincoln passenger car with possible New Jersey registration.
