DOVER, Del. - The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in Towne Point Apartments Friday night.

Police say at approximately 10:01 PM, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the C Building.

Upon arrival, police say they came into contact with a woman who lived there. She told officers that she was sitting inside of her home when an unknown person knocked on the door. She said she then heard a single shot, as the suspect shot through the door.

Three other people were inside the home at the time. No one was injured.
