HARRINGTON, Del. - Police say that at 3:12 PM, a 36-year-old man was taken into custody upon leaving the home. He is currently being taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Police say that allied agencies are continuing to operate on Dickerson Street.
The man is reportedly still barricaded inside of the home in Harrington on Monday afternoon. The Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team and Conflict Management teams are trying to make contact with the man and are continuing to try and persuade him to surrender.
Residents in the area are still evacuated and roadways are still closed. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
The Harrington Police Department with the help of Delaware State Police are currently in the 7 unit block of Dickerson Street in Harrington for a report of a possible suicidal person located inside on Monday afternoon.
The incident began at 12:09 PM when Harrington Police received a call for a possible suicidal man in a home in the unit block of Dickerson Street. Officers and troopers are continuing to review the situation with no further details available at this time.
Several homes in the area of the incident have been evacuated as a precatuion. Several roads in the area have been closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek other routes of travel.
Police say that this is the first release of information with more updates as information is received.
The Harrington Police Department says that they have some police action going on in the town on Monday afternoon.
According to the Department's Facebook page, action is going on at 7 Dickerson Street and officers are asking everyone to stay out of the area until it is cleared.
The Department says that they will update everyone as soon as they can.
