MILFORD, Del. - Police say that a fight led to multiple arrests in Milford on Friday night.
According to the Milford Police Department, at 11:49 PM on Friday night, the Patrol Division responded to the Traveler's Inn on North Walnut Street for a disorderly person. Upon arrival, officers found multiple people arguing and fighting in front of one of the motel rooms on the second floor of the motel.
Officers separated the people involved and arrested the three people that were fighting. As officers were trying to arrest the 16-year-old teen, the teen reportedly began to resist arrest. The three suspects were identified as 51-year-old Dwayne Richardson of Dover, 36-year-old Depaul Smith of Milford and a 16-year-old male teen.
Investigators say that the teen became disorderly with Richardson and Smith and a fight began between the three of them. Police say that all three suspects were extremely intoxicated. During the incident, contact was made with 20-year-old Nakysia Williams of Dover where it was reportedly found that she was intoxicated and was also caring for a small child.
Police say that it was also found that she had violated an active no contact order that had been sent by Kent County Family Court between her and Depaul Smith. She was then taken into custody.
Richardson was charged with offensive touching and disorderly conduct. Smith was charged with offensive touching, disorderly conduct, and providing alcohol to an under age person. Williams was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, under age possession/consumption of alcohol, and breach of release.
The 16 year old teen was charged with resisting arrest, offensive touching, disorderly conduct, and underage possession/consumption Of alcohol.
Williams and Richardson were arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court seven. Williams was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $551 secured bail.
She was ordered to appear in Kent County Family Court at a later date in reference to these charges. Richardson was released on $500 unsecured bail with a future court date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
The 16 year old teen was turned over to his parents and given a future court date in Kent County Family Court in reference to this case. Smith was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $750 unsecured bail with a no contact order between him and the juvenile in this case. He was order to appear at a later date in Kent County Family Court in reference to this case.
