UPDATE: One dead after fatal Seaford crash; investigation ongoing

SEAFORD, Del. - Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that resulted in a man's death at an intersection, in Seaford.

Police say on Monday, the crash happened  just after 1:30 PM, at the intersection of Wesley Church Road and Cannon Road which lead to a 3.5 hour road closure. 

According to a press release, a 31-year-old female driver failed to stop at the traffic signals and ran into the path of another vehicle crossing the intersection.

We're told the female driver was released from Nanticoke Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Her passenger, a 51-year old male, was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

The driver of the other vehicle, a 72-year old male, was also taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and was then transferred to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. 

Police say that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this incident.
