Alleged rapist arrested in connection to sex abuse case in Del.

CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. - A United States Air Force Reservist is in custody, after troopers say he raped a teenage girl which resulted  in her pregnancy, in Delaware.

Delaware State Police say on December 19, Troop 3 Major Crimes Unit received information through a DFS 24 hour hotline that a 14-year-old girl had reported allegations of sexual abuse. Authorities say the hotline reported that the victim was impregnated by an adult male.

After further investigations, DSP confirmed that the 14-year-old was pregnant and she disclosed that the father of the child was 34-year-old Byron White, of Camden Wyoming. According to the report, the victim was involved in an active sexual relationship with White since May 2017. The incidences reportedly happened at White's residence in the 3000 block of Henry Cowgill Road.

Law enforcement reports that White was a United States Air Force Reservist and was serving on orders at Dover Air Force Base. Troopers say an arrest warrant was obtained and White was arrested at Dover Air Force Base, on Tuesday.

He is charged with nine counts of rape third degree and continuous sexual abuse of a child. The 34-year-old was later turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $200,000 secured bond.
