DELMARVA, USA - Even though we're just a day away from Thanksgiving one local agency is already working on a special Christmas drive.
Home Instead Senior Care is holding a gift drive just for Delmarva seniors.
The drive started on November 6th and will run until the 15th.
Several businesses are partnering with the agency to pair up seniors with special Santas.
Coordinator, Leslie Zimmerman, says the program makes it easy for people to do something good for others in the community.
"We work with merchants to put up Christmas trees and put ornaments on those Christmas with the gift suggestions that the seniors would like to have. People in the community can pick up those ornaments, purchase a gift, wrap it return it to that merchant location and then we play santa."
