DSU Lawsuit - Latest News
by - WMDT Staff

DOVER, De. - Members of Delaware State's women's equestrian team have slapped the school with a lawsuit.
In the suit, the 15 members claim that the school's decision to drop the sport at the end of the current season violates "Title 9", which is the law that prohibits gender bias for athletic funding.
The athletes are seeking a temporary restraining order to keep the university from disbanding the team.
Last month, Melia Blakely filed a similar suit against the school.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for that case in the early April.
