HARRINGTON, Del. - Teachers can make a major difference in the lives of their students, and WMDT finds those rare gems.
On Monday a teacher at Lake Forest Elementary School in Harrington was honored.
Clay Beauchamp was selected as the Teacher Who Makes a Difference for the month of February.
Mr. Beauchamp teaches the third grade, and has been at the school for 10 years now. He also attended Lake Forest Elementary when he was younger and says he couldn't imagine doing anything else. "I like to see the kids at work especially when that light bulb comes on. You know they might take a long time to get what they need to get but eventually they will slowly get it," said Beauchamp.
The parent who nominated Mr. Beauchamp says her daughter is now on the honor roll.
