Hi Delmarva! I'm Michelle Mackonochie, your Weekday Morning Anchor on Good Morning Delmarva! I joined the 47 ABC News team in February 2015 after spending five months at the CBS affiliated station WBKB News in Alpena, Michigan. While there, I was the Weekend Anchor as well as a reporter and covered a variety of stories including local fairs and events going on in the community as well as breaking news. I received my Bachelor's degree in Television/Radio from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. Go Bombers! While at Ithaca I was a part of their Television Station ICTV and was involved with their Sports, Entertainment and News Departments. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York and come from an Italian/British household. My mom was raised in a very loud Italian house and has since continued her family traditions so there is never a quiet moment or lack of food at my family gatherings! I also have family over in England where things are a bit quieter and tea time takes place every day before dinner. My love for Television began at a very young age when my parents started taking home videos. I always had to hold the camera and film or be in front of it. When I was nine years old, I was invited to meet Sam Champion and Roz Abrams at ABC News in New York and after that my mind was made up - I was going to be on TV! When I'm not anchoring the Weekend News or Reporting you can find me at the beach, travelling, hanging out with my parrot Olive, cooking, shopping or watching my favorite sports teams the New York Giants and the New York Rangers! I love meeting new people so if you ever see me around town, don't be shy and say hello! I am thrilled to be joining the 47ABC family and welcome any feedback or story ideas so feel free to email me at any time! You can also follow me on Twitter at MMack_WMDT or on Facebook!
