DSP's 'Operation Duck Hunt' nets 116K+ bags of heroin

DELAWARE - 13 suspects. 2 years. 1 investigation. Delaware State Police announced the conclusion of 'Operation Duck Hunt' Tuesday afternoon.

"The result of this operation directly impacted the heroin distribution and money laundering in the state of Delaware." Said DSP Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Police say the operation began back in April 2014 and wrapped up last Wednesday (5/11). In total, 13 suspects were identified. They were apparently led by 31-year-old Deangelo McGlotten of Felton, and his associates 30-year-old Timothy Felix of Dover, and 34-year-old Adrian Coverdale of Blades.

Delaware State Police identified the other suspects as:

  • Patrick Cirwithian, 30, Greenwood
  • Tina Mosley, 51, Greenwood
  • Salman Choudhary, 37, Georgetown
  • Daniel Montalvo-Rosado, 29, Wilmington
  • Christian Cortes, 27, Wilmington
  • Linda Mcglotten, 49, Milford
  • Reginald Mcglotten, 30, Millsboro
  • Obrien Morris, 26, Millsboro
  • Luis Manzanet-Garlaza, 27, Milford
  • Sohail Zeeshan, 39, Rehoboth Beach

We're told the ten other suspects played significant roles in distributing heroin in Kent and Sussex counties and allegedly laundering the drug proceeds through casinos, businesses and properties.

Over the duration of the investigation authorities say two rounds of search warrants led to the seizure of over 116,000 bags of heroin, 23 vehicles, 7 guns and jewelry. In executing a warrant on Wednesday, police say they seized over 74,000 bags of heroin, marking one of the state's largest seizures of pre-packaged heroin ever.

"We know that we've impacted this particular hall of drugs, but the frustrating part I think is that we know that volume is coming into the state each and every week." Said DSP Colonel Nathaniel McQueen.

According to police, eight of the suspects were arrested and five others are still wanted. They face a total of 77 charges.

"Where possible, we want to try to eliminate entire networks of drug dealers and hold those at the very top of the organization responsible." Said Del. Attorney General Matt Denn.
We're told the investigation into the alleged money laundering is still ongoing.
