DSP arrest Seaford man wanted in connection to Wexford Village shooting

LAUREL, Del. - Delaware State Police say they have arrested 18-year-old Stephon Jackson of Seaford, a suspect who was wanted in connection with firing shots towards an apartment building in the Wexford Village Development on the afternoon of the shooting death of an 18-year-old male victim on January 29th.

On Thursday, Jackson was arrested after being seen riding on a motorcycle on Henry Drive in the Seaford area. Jackson attempted to flee on foot after police approached him, but he was quickly taken into custody by the DSP Troop 5 Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement team without further incident.

The police ran a computer check of the motorcycle and found it was stolen.

Jackson was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm as well as the two new charges of receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.

He has been committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $22,000 cash bond.
