WMDT 47 NEWS - After almost three years at WMDT 47 and Delmarva's CW3, Terrence Lee will be joining the main anchor team Weekdays at 6 & 11. Terrence will co-anchor Sunday through Thursday with Ashley James.

Terrence joined the WMDT 47 news team in June of 2008 as a reporter. He quickly was promoted to anchor, appearing on WMDT 47 News at 5AM (airing on both WMDT 47 and Delmarva's CW3), the Noon News (also airing on both stations) and then the Friday/Saturday anchor shift for the 6 and 11PM newscasts on WMDT 47 and the 10PM Newscast on Delmarva's CW3.  He also anchored the local cut-ins for GMA and continued reporting as opportunities presented themselves.

When he's not working hard at the station, Terrence often steps out into the community. He helped raise over $143,000 for the Cancer Support Community (then the Wellness Community) in the 2010 Dancing With Delmarva Stars competition. From the dance floor to the basketball court, he acted as a special guest coach for the First Annual Streetball Classic At Mariner Middle School in Milton to raise money for area youth. He's hit the airwaves for Cat Country's Annual Feed-A-Friend Marathon and also sat on a panel of judges for the 2010 Salisbury Christmas Parade. You can catch both Terrence and Ashley this Spring as they emcee the 2011 Kidney Walk on May 1st.

A graduate of Temple University, Terrence continues to support the importance of education.  For the past two years, WMDT 47 and Delmarva's CW3 have partnered with the Delmarva Education Foundation (DEF) to present our "Meet the Money Givers" series. From January to April, Terrence highlights two locally available scholarships or grants for higher education every Wednesday and Saturday.

Before coming to Delmarva he interned at two top stations in Philadelphia, CBS3 and Fox 29. While he loved the City, he admits he's a "small town boy at heart." He grew up in Calvert County, Maryland and has many childhood memories on Delmarva.

"Since day one, Delmarva has welcomed me with open arms.  I'm a Maryland native, so it's even more special to me to be able to bring the stories that are important to the Shore to the forefront," says Terrence.

Look for Terrence Weekdays at 6 and 11PM starting in March and stay tuned to WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice.
