TOWSON, Md. (AP) - A Baltimore County woman charged with paying a man $9,000 to kill her husband at his gas station has been denied bail.
Karla Porter and five others, including her sister and brother, charged in the murder-for-hire scheme were ordered held without bond on Monday. Police say there could be more arrests in the slaying of 49-year-old William Porter.
Charging documents say Karla Porter used her cell phone to lure her husband to the Towson gas station, where he was shot. Documents say she confessed to the plot, but her attorney declined to comment on that.
