DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware medical officials are temporarily suspending the license of a doctor whose Pennsylvania license was temporarily revoked because of conditions at his Philadelphia abortion clinic.
Dr. Kermit Gosnell's license was temporarily suspended in Pennsylvania last week after investigators said they found blood on the floor, fetus parts in jars and a recovery area consisting of recliners.
On Tuesday, the Delaware Board of Medical Practice temporarily revoked Gosnell's license. Delaware officials say the decision was based on allegations against him in Pennsylvania and there are no similar allegations against him in Delaware.
No criminal charges have been filed against Gosnell in Delaware or Pennsylvania. State records show Gosnell has been a licensed physician in
Delaware since 1994, but there is no record of where he has worked in Delaware.
