SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury mother, charged in the death of her baby, is scheduled to appear in court this month.
Debra Sanches has a motions hearing on January 15th and her trial is set to begin in February.
Police say Sanches left her infant daughter unattended in the bathtub.
When she came back, the baby was found unresponsive.
Wicomico County State's Attorney Davis Ruark says it's a serious crime and it carries a serious sentence.
"(She) is charged with second degree murder and manslaughter which does involve the death of an 8 month old child," said Ruark.
Sanches faces more than 30 year in prison.
